The Tables

Pro tables.
Properly cared for.

"When you sit down at ARAMIS, the table is ready — every time."

Ten professional tables: nine American pool and one French three-cushion carom. All nine pool tables are dressed in genuine IWAN SIMONIS cloth — the international championship standard — and Aramith balls throughout. Two tables are heated, one pool and one carom, keeping the cloth at optimal tension for a faster, more consistent surface.

Tables are vacuumed daily. Balls are polished after every game. It's the kind of maintenance most venues skip. We don't, because the game deserves it.

Our Tables

Ten tables.
Four makers.

Every table at ARAMIS is a professional instrument. The hall combines four of the most respected names in billiard manufacturing — Danish precision, American heritage, French craftsmanship, and Greek-made. Each brand was chosen for a reason.

Søren Søgaard

Scandinavia's leading billiard manufacturer, founded by seven-time Danish 3-cushion champion Søren Søgaard. Known for kiln-dried oak rails, thick slate beds, and — in the ARAMIS case — their proprietary heated-slate technology. Two of our five Søgaard tables are heated: one American pool, one French carom.

Chevillotte

French-made since 1860 and widely regarded as one of the finest billiard manufacturers in the world. Chevillotte's craftsmanship sits at the intersection of precision engineering and cabinetmaking — a table that plays as well as it looks.

The only billiard table manufacturer in the Balkans, operating from Athens since 1928. Sivissidis has supplied professional clubs across Greece for nearly a century — a local name with international standards, and a fitting presence in a club with deep roots in Greek billiards.

The Cloth

All nine American pool tables wear genuine IWAN SIMONIS cloth — the championship-standard used in international competition. The French carom table wears its own purpose-built cloth for three-cushion play.

Every roll of SIMONIS cloth carries an authentic UV mark — printed every metre with the brand name and roll serial number, visible only under black light. If you'd like to check, just ask.

ARAMIS Culture

The way we play
here.

Forty years of billiards in Chania has taught us one thing above all else: the game is better when the room is right. That means a certain kind of quiet, a certain kind of respect — for the tables, for the other players, for the space.

These aren't rules we invented. They're what good players have always brought with them. We just ask everyone to carry them in.

Respect the players around you
Everyone is here to focus and enjoy the game. Keep voices low, celebrate quietly, and give the players at the next table the same space you'd want for yourself.
Keep it calm
Language matters in a shared space. Frustration is natural — loud outbursts and swearing aren't. The game tests your patience by design. Take a breath, take your shot.
Food and drinks stay off the tables
The SIMONIS cloth and the Aramith balls are maintained carefully. Drinks belong on the side tables and ledges — never on the playing surface.
The table is for playing, not sitting
Simple as it sounds — the table is the game. Please keep it that way.
Groups take priority when the hall is full
When all tables are taken and a group of two or more is waiting, solo players are kindly asked to wrap up their session and free the table. We appreciate your understanding — and we'll always find you a way back in.
